Build dashboard and track performance from everywhere

Databox

Anyone who has run their own business or even managed one knows there is a lot more to it than at first believed. Take an eCommerce store, perhaps the simplest form of business right now. The uninitiated may think you simply set up on one of the available hosting platforms, launch and start selling. That’s just a small part of it!

The brand or store also needs to be marketed. Without effective marketing nobody will know it exists. This means having a presence on many different platforms – your social media, your website, on blogs and other mediums – to reach the desired audience. Once you are visible on these platforms you also need to keep up to speed with performance. How is your website performing in terms of visitors, for example? Or which social media platform is returning the best results.

There’s a lot of work involved across many different sources, which is where a tool called Databox comes into the picture. What is Databox and how can it help grow your business?

What is Databox?

The best description of Databox is ‘a business analytics platform’. It enables the user to access many metrics from different sources from one custom dashboard. The metrics can be anything from page visits to retained customers, through ROI and KPI figures. It is designed to simplify business analytics by bringing everything to one point of access. How could Databox benefit you?

How Does Databox Work?

Databox cleverly draws together all platforms, pages and media on which you are promoting your brand. Consider this: you have marketing material on Instagram, on Facebook, on your website and on a blog, and perhaps on other media platforms such as Twitter or LinkedIn.

In normal circumstances you would have to log in to each of those platforms and run their analytics tools to determine the performance of your campaigns. Databox eliminates the need for multiple log-ins. You customize one of the many dashboard templates to optimize for your primary marketing sources, and can then access all metrics for each one from there.

It simplifies the performance monitoring routine which is an essential and ongoing part of growing your business. In the next section we’ll look at some of the main features of Databox.

Features of Databox

Databox is about making customer behaviour and marketing performance data easier to analyse. Here are some of the features that we feel are worthy of mention.

Custom Dashboards

The Databox platform comes with a choice of many templates that are geared towards different mediums and sources. If, for example, your marketing is primarily Instagram based you can find a template that has Instagram to the fore and design your dashboard around that. You can choose the metrics you want to see and the way the data is presented.

Metric Tracking

Tracking different metrics – ROI, visitor number, abandoned carts for example – helps you understand where you need to improve or concentrate your marketing. The metric tracking function within Databox is easy to optimize and use and is well-designed for clarity.

Goal Tracking

By setting goals in advance – say a specific conversion rate – you can keep track of where you are performing. Perhaps you have had a poor run on Facebook and have implemented changes. Set your goals and Databox will update you at predetermined points as to the current performance.

KPI Scorecards

Databox allows you to create KPI scorecards for you and your team to aim for. Key Performance Indicators are an excellent barometer of the overall performance of your business in various different areas.

The above is by no means a comprehensive list but highlights some of the beneficial features within the Databox platform. All that remains is to look at the pricing structure.

Pricing and Final Word

There is a free version of Databox with limited features and only 1 data source permitted. This may be ideal for a sole trader who is simply trying out a market. The Starter version provides daily updates of metrics and data, as many as five users and 11 months of historical data. Price per month is on a sliding scale depending on the number of data source connections. For 4 connections the rate is $72, and as an example, 20 would be $98 per month.

Professional is hourly monitored and updated with a starting price of $135 per month, while the Performer is an on-demand monitored package beginning at $231 monthly.

For a business that spreads its marketing across many different platforms Databox is worth considering as it is an effective performance monitoring tool with many impressive functions.
