Cvent is an event management platform for in-person, hybrid and virtual events and webinars. It covers the whole cycle of an event, from registration, venue sourcing and promotion to onsite check-in, the attendee app and reporting.

Who is Cvent for?

Cvent is built for organizations that run many events a year: sales kickoffs, user conferences, trade show programs, internal meetings and webinars. Its Enterprise option includes all user logins, API access and single sign-on, which suits large marketing and event teams.

For a single small event, Cvent is likely more platform than you need. Smaller teams often choose a tool with a published price and a faster setup.

Registration

Registration covers personalized registration paths, agenda and session management, no-code event websites, payments, built-in email promotion, and housing and travel management.

Attendee Hub

Attendee Hub is the attendee-facing side: a mobile event app and virtual experience with chat, Q&A, polling, gamification, networking, AI-driven agenda building and live and on-demand video production. For a hybrid event, this is where the in-room and online audiences meet.

OnArrival

OnArrival handles the venue: kiosk and self-service check-in, on-demand badge printing with a badge designer, onsite registration and payment, session check-in with capacity control and real-time attendance dashboards.

Webinars, exhibitors and more

Cvent completed its acquisition of ON24, a webinar and digital engagement platform for B2B marketing, on 1 April 2026, and says it will keep investing in ON24. Add-ons include LeadCapture for exhibitors, Appointments for facilitated meetings, abstract management, event diagramming and room block management.

How much does Cvent cost?

Cvent does not publish prices. On 1 November 2026 its pricing page offered two options, both quoted on request:

Cvent says all customers get 24/7 support from its client services team of more than 1,800 people. There is no free plan or self-serve trial; you start with a demo or a quote.

What do users say about Cvent?

Cvent Event Marketing & Management holds about 4.3 out of 5 on G2 from more than 2,000 reviews, based on G2 pages checked on 1 November 2026. Reviewers praise registration, onsite check-in and badge printing, and how it handles large events. The most common complaints are cost, a steep learning curve and limited flexibility in reporting.

When should you choose an alternative?

• You run one or two events a year. EventMobi sells per event, and Accelevents has a single-event plan with a published starting price.
• You want a hybrid platform with hands-on help per event. vFairs assigns a project manager to every event.
• You mainly run webinars. A webinar tool such as Livestorm is simpler and cheaper.
