Twenty is an open-source CRM. You can run it free on your own servers or pay for Twenty's managed cloud, which starts at $9 per user per month billed yearly. It is built to be shaped around your sales process, with a custom data model, workflows, AI agents and a developer framework.

Who is Twenty for?

Twenty suits teams with technical skills, or a partner to help, that want full control over their CRM: where the data lives, how it is structured and how it connects to other systems. Twenty's FAQ says teams can move from Salesforce or HubSpot by CSV import or through the API, with partners available for a full migration. Teams that want a ready-made CRM with no setup and a long record of public reviews may prefer an established vendor.

What are Twenty's main features?

A data model you control

You create custom objects, fields and views from the settings, without code. Records can be shown as tables, Kanban boards grouped by stage, or calendars. Cloud plans include unlimited seats, objects, fields, views and records.

Email, calendar and workflows

Google and Microsoft email and calendar sync log emails and meetings on records automatically. No-code workflows automate routine steps, using monthly workspace credits included in each plan. Marketplace apps add features such as call recording and lead enrichment.

AI and developer tools

An in-app AI assistant and AI agents handle CRM chores. On cloud workspaces, a native MCP server lets AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT read and write CRM data. Developers can build custom objects, logic and interface components in TypeScript with the apps framework, and use the API for large imports.

Open source

The code is public on GitHub. The license file says the project is mostly under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPLv3), some developer packages are under MIT, and files marked Enterprise need a paid subscription for production use. You can read about the AGPL on Wikipedia.

What do users say about Twenty?

Twenty had no listing on G2 at the time of checking, and very few public reviews on other software review sites. That makes it hard to summarize user sentiment. If reviews matter to your decision, test the free self-hosted version or the 30-day cloud trial with your own data.

When should you choose an alternative?

  • You want a proven CRM with a large review base and no setup. Look at HubSpot CRM or Pipedrive.
  • You need an enterprise CRM with a large partner ecosystem. Compare Salesforce.
  • You want a simple, low-cost CRM for a small team. See Zoho CRM.
