Calendly is scheduling software. You connect your calendar, share a booking link, and other people pick a time that suits both of you, without emails back and forth. Paid plans add team scheduling, lead routing, reminders and CRM integrations, and AI add-ons write meeting recaps.

What is Calendly?

Calendly now describes its job as "all the work around meetings". It covers what happens before a meeting (qualifying and routing the invitee), during it (an AI notetaker) and after it (recaps and follow-up emails). Invitees do not need an account.

Who is Calendly for?

It suits anyone who books many external meetings: sales reps taking demo requests, customer success managers, recruiters and consultants. For marketing and sales teams, the main use is turning a website form or email into a booked meeting with the right person, then logging it in the CRM.

Booking pages and event types

You create event types, such as a 30-minute demo or an intro call, and share each one as a booking link. The Free plan includes one event type; paid plans have unlimited event types and multiple connected calendars.

Team scheduling and routing

The Teams plan adds round robin, which spreads meetings across reps, and other team scheduling options. Routing forms ask qualifying questions and send each lead to the right person or team. Enterprise adds Salesforce lookup routing.

Workflows and reminders

Automated email and text reminders go out before each meeting, and invitees can reschedule themselves.

Integrations and payments

Calendly cites more than 150 integrations. Standard connects to HubSpot and Mailchimp and takes payments through Stripe or PayPal. Teams adds Salesforce, Marketo and Pardot, and Enterprise adds Microsoft Dynamics.

AI: Notetaker and Callie

Notetaker joins Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls and creates recaps, transcripts and draft follow-up emails. Callie, in beta, is an AI assistant you copy into an email thread to suggest times and book the meeting. Both come with the Standard Plus and Teams Plus plans.

Calendly says yearly billing saves up to 20 percent compared with monthly billing. A 14-day trial is available, after which you drop to the Free plan unless you upgrade. Seats are only needed for hosts, not for invitees.

What do users say about Calendly?

On G2, reviewers most often praise how easy Calendly is to use, its calendar integration, automatic time zone conversion and reminders that save time on scheduling emails.

The most common complaints on G2 are that useful features sit behind paid tiers, that the Free plan is limited to one event type, and that per-seat pricing adds up for teams. Some reviewers report calendar sync glitches and basic reporting.
