Webflow is a visual website builder with a built-in CMS and hosting. Marketing teams use it to build and run their whole website, including landing pages, without waiting for developers. It is not a dedicated landing page tool: A/B testing and personalisation come from a paid add-on, Webflow Optimize. Paid Site plans start at $15 per month billed yearly, and there is a free Starter plan.

Who is Webflow for?

Webflow fits marketing and design teams that want landing pages to sit on the same domain, design system and CMS as the rest of the website. A designer sets up the layout and reusable blocks once, and marketers then build and edit pages in the visual editor.

If you only need quick campaign pages with built-in testing, compare dedicated landing page builders first.

What are Webflow's main features?

Visual designer and page building

You design on a visual canvas with control over layout, typography and interactions. Page building lets less technical teammates create new pages from components that designers have approved, which keeps campaign pages on brand.

CMS and hosting

The CMS stores content in Collections that share a template, so a new case study or landing page variant follows the same design automatically. Premium includes 20,000 CMS items and scheduled publishing. Sites are hosted on a global CDN with free SSL. Limits are set by bandwidth, not by visitors.

Webflow Optimize

Optimize is the add-on for A/B testing, rules-based personalisation by device, location, UTM parameters or behaviour, and AI Optimize, which decides in real time which variation each visitor sees. It can also run on sites not built in Webflow through a JavaScript snippet. CRM and account-based marketing integrations are for Enterprise customers.

Webflow AI and MCP

Webflow AI builds a site or new sections from a prompt and drafts copy and CMS items. An MCP server lets AI assistants work on your site. AI features use credits included in each Workspace plan.

Webflow Campaigns

Campaigns is a newer, separate product for demand generation teams. It turns a brief into on-brand landing pages, audience variations and matching ads, and connects to HubSpot or Marketo forms, Salesforce and Google Ads. Your site does not need to run on Webflow, and it is sold through sales.

How much does Webflow cost?

Prices were checked on Webflow's pricing page on 1 November 2026, in US dollars per site:

Workspace plans for staging and collaboration are separate: Core costs $19 and Growth $49 per month billed yearly. Extra full seats cost $39 per month billed yearly. Optimize starts at $299 per month billed yearly for 25,000 page views, and Analyze starts at $9. Campaigns starts at $2k per month.

Webflow changed these plans on 13 May 2026, merging the old CMS and Business plans into Premium. The pricing page lists no free trial for paid plans.

What do users say about Webflow?

Webflow holds about 4.4 out of 5 on G2 from nearly 1,000 reviews and 4.5 out of 5 on Capterra from about 270 reviews. G2 reviewers most often praise the design freedom, the CMS and how quickly they can publish once they know the tool.

The most common complaint on G2 is the learning curve for newcomers. Reviewers also mention limits in the CMS and ecommerce features, slower performance on large projects, and costs that add up across Site plans, Workspace plans and add-ons.

When should you choose an alternative?

  • You want built-in A/B testing without an add-on. Compare dedicated builders such as Unbounce or Instapage.
  • You already run marketing in HubSpot. HubSpot includes landing pages and forms.
  • Nobody on your team designs. The learning curve is the most common complaint, so a template-led landing page builder may be faster.

For more options, see our list of Unbounce alternatives.

Webflow FAQ

Does Webflow have a free plan?

Yes. The free Starter Site plan publishes to a webflow.io subdomain with 2 static pages, 1 GB of bandwidth and 50 form submissions. You need a paid Site plan to use your own domain. The pricing page does not list a free trial for paid plans.

Does Webflow have A/B testing?

Not in the Site plans themselves. A/B testing comes with the Optimize add-on, which starts at $299 per month billed yearly ($379 monthly) for 25,000 page views a month and also covers personalisation and AI-driven optimisation.

What is the difference between a Site plan and a Workspace plan?

A Site plan pays for publishing, hosting and site features for one site. A Workspace plan covers staging sites, seats and collaboration tools. Every account gets a free Starter Workspace, so many small teams only pay for a Site plan.

Did Webflow change its pricing in 2026?

Yes. On 13 May 2026 Webflow merged its CMS and Business Site plans into a new Premium plan, raised the Basic plan to $15 per month billed yearly and added the Team plan. Existing sites move to the new plans at their next renewal or billable change on or after 29 June 2026, or 16 November 2026 for Freelancer and Agency Workspaces.
